What is Neolith?

Neolith is a revolutionary compact surface perfect for uses in almost any room in the house. Neolith is created by mixing materials found in glass, porcelain and quartz under high heat and pressure. This creates products that are almost indestructible. Neolith countertops are some of the hardest, most durable options available. The manufacturing process uses 100 percent natural materials that are cured at about 2200 degrees Fahrenheit (over 1200 degrees Celsius) and compressed to more than 5900 pounds per square inch. Other engineered stone countertops, like quartz, are cured at about 200 degrees Fahrenheit, making it more susceptible to damage.

Marble vs. Neolith

There are many designs and patterns available in Neolith countertops, walls and flooring. One of the biggest trends today is neolith estatuario. This product looks very much like the popular Carrara marble with a pure white background and subtle veining. Marble has made a comeback in home remodels and estatuario can give you the same look as marble but without the issues that people who install marble may face. It is stronger than marble, resistant to scratching and staining. It will not scorch and not easily cracked or chipped. It does not require the intensive maintenance that marble requires either.

Benefits of Neolith

Neolith countertops have many advantages over granite, quartz and marble. It will not scorch if a hot pan is placed on the surface. Acidic materials do not stain, even if they are left to sit on the counter. Neolith floors can handle heavy traffic making them suitable for commercial applications. Neolith has a water absorption level near zero and it is hygienic as it does not release harmful substances. It is also suitable for contact with food. It is environmentally-friendly as it is resin-free and created from natural products. This makes it completely recyclable as up to 57 percent of Neolith is created from recycled materials.
